The new Centenary balcony was opened by the Captain, Nigel Cable & the Lady Captain, Penny Baxter & has proved to be a great success with members & guests, particularly in the summer months. The construction of the balcony was made possible as a result of the generosity of members who raised the necessary funds through lottery proceeds, golf events etc.

The publication of John Wade's book, detailing the history of the first 100 years, was a significant event & a copy of the book is now held in the British Library & locally in the Harrogate library. Copies are still available from the Club if anyone would like one.

Our Centenary Dinner Dance at the Majestic Hotel in Harrogate was attended by over 300 members & guests & was a huge success. A sample of pictures is available to view in the Centenary Gallery page.

We look forward to the next 100 years now & the many challenges also facing golf clubs up & down the country. We hope that the loyal & supportive members which Oakdale has been famous for, will continue to contribute to the success of the Club.
