Local Rules

 

Out of Bounds

i   Beyond the boundary walls and fences.

ii  Beyond the line of white posts to the left of the 10th hole.

iii Beyond the line of white posts/the white line adjoining the practice ground when playing the 10th hole only.

iv  Beyond the line of white posts/the white line to the left of the 11th hole.

 

Integral Parts of the Course

The following are integral parts of the course,

i   All stone walls.

ii  Parts of stone walls within the course. A ball must be played as it lies, or relief taken under penalty; Rule 28-Ball unplayable.

 

Paths

All artificially surfaced pathways are immovable obstructions and relief should be taken in accordance with Rule 24-2.

 

Water Hazards (Rule 26)

i   That portion of the beck, from the dam at the 18th hole to the yellow post at the 10th tee must be treated as a water hazard.

     The wooden bridges over the beck at these points , other than those points which lie within the boundaries of the water hazard

      (as defined by yellow lines) are immovable obstructions.

ii  The ditch in front of the 13th tee and across the 13th fairway is a water hazard.

iii  All other drainage ditches are lateral water hazards.

iv   The pond at the 12th hole is a water hazard.

 

Immovable Obstructions Close to the Putting Green

The local rule specified in Appendix 1 to the Rules of Golf is in effect.

 

Protection of Young Trees

All trees which are marked with a white ringed stake. whether or not the stake is attached to the tree, are to be regarded as immovable obstructions. If the tree interferes with a players stance or the area of his intended swing, relief MUST be taken in accordance with  Rule 24-2b(i).

 

Stones in Bunkers

Stones in bunkers are movable obstructions (Rule 24-1 applies)
