To celebrate the Centenary of the Club in 2014 it is proposed to extend the existing balcony as shown in the artist’s impression below. The extension will enhance this very popular feature of the Clubhouse. As well as providing extra outside seating, it will give extended views across the course, especially over the 18th fairway and green.

The estimated cost of the project is £35,000 and funds raised to date amount to nearly £14,000; the Centenary Committee is planning new events and competitions throughout the next three years to raise the remaining finance. The plan for funding is to secure all the money for the project through Competition Entry fees, Open Days, Social Events, Raffles and Draws and, of course the Club Lottery.
Members can help this effort by joining the Lottery now at the very modest cost of £2 per month; 50% of the proceeds go back into monthly prizes and 50% to the fund. To join in the Lottery, complete the attached application form and send it to Karen at the Club Secretary’s office.
Watch this section of the website; check the Notice Boards and 2011 Club Diary to find out further information on Centenary Events and Competitions. If members have any ideas for fundraising please submit them to the Centenary Committee who will be pleased to consider every opportunity.
