The aim of Oakdale Seniors is to enable male members, full or five day, aged 55 years and over to enjoy 'competitive' yet friendly and relaxed golf in the company of other seniors from local clubs. All are very welcome to become involved in our inter club matches.
During the season we play a total of 13 matches. From April to October home and away matches are arranged against Bedale, Thirsk & Northallerton, Masham, Pike Hills, Ripon and Saltburn. We also have an annual match against Oakdale Ladies.
Details of each match are posted on the Seniors noticeboard, which can be found in the 'tunnel' adjacent to the Professionals shop, approximately 28 days prior to the fixture. Members are invited to add their names to the list for selection.Sixteen players are required for each match plus reserves. The team list is published about 10 days before the match. These matches usually start at 9.30am and are followed by lunch. All team members are expected to stay for lunch which generally costs in the region of £10.
In addition we have two 'away days' during the season, one in May, the other in September. The first 'away day' in 2011 is tba.
