Visitors Menu 2011

At Oakdale we pride ourselves on offering good quality service and food from the moment you arrive to the time you leave. We have a wide selection of exciting traditional and  unique menus from a healthy breakfast, to lunch and a formal or informal dinner. Where possible we try to use the best quality local produce. We can cater for any special diet or other requirements to suit your needs.

Please note that payment for food must be made on the day of the event. Full numbers must be given at least 48 hours before the event and the invoice will be charged to that amount.

To control costs the menus are fixed choices, an identical menu for each person. A vegetarian alternative is always available.

We have other menus available if you require seasonal or a choice. We also have golfing buffets and BBQ menus. Please enquire.

 

Breakfast Options 

Served with Tea or Coffee in the dining room.

 Fresh Fruits and Citrus, Fresh fruit yoghurt, fresh bread and preserves.

Menu 1

Fixed 2 course menu at £10.25

Pre select your desired menu from the choices given below. The first course may be replaced with a dessert course. A choice menu can be provided and priced separately if desired. Coffee is included.

First Course 1

All served with bread

Tomato bacon & basil soup

Mascarpone cream cheese on toast.

 

Traditional chicken liver parfait

Oakdale relish, balsamic leaves, granary toast.

 

Roulade of local goats cheese stuffed with bacon & green grapes

Toasted brioche crumble, Kinsley salad.

 

Thai tuna risotto cakes.

Tomato & olive salad, soft free range egg. 


Main Course 1

Seared breast of local chicken

 Wild rice risotto

 Confit of season, mushrooms polenta, carrot stack.

 

 Yorkshire aged brisket steak

 Very slowly cooked with black sheep beer onions & roots

 Creamed mash pipers

 

 Apple & cider glazed loin of pork

 Home made black pudding & apple chutney

 Crispy bacon seed mustard sauce

 

 Westmoreland sugar baked chunk of ham

 Served simply with fat chips, free range eggs & Kinsley salad

 Mustard & local honey mayonnaise

 

 Fillet steak mince Oakdale burger

 Lightly seasoned with black pepper & cajun

 Served with creamed mash potatoes, roasted roots & pea puree

 Peppercorn & garlic sauce

 or just have it normal in a homemade bun & fat chips)

Browned confit of onions.
